Description
The AI-5 Fusion Splice Machine is a precise and cost efective tool designed for network engineers focused on optimal fiber optic network performance. Signal Fire is known for its advanced features and durable construction, the Ai-5 delivers high-quality splices with ease and speed, suitable for FTTH, FTTB, industrial, security and enterprise needs.
The AI-5 is constructed with a lot of the same components of the AI-9 and shares the same quality and performace that the industry is familiar with using the AI-9. The AI-5 does not include the VFL and power meter included with the AI-9, as well as the hard shell case or high precision cleaver included with the AI-9.
One of the key features that the AI-5 boasts is a core alignment system, designed to mimize insertion loss and maximize return loss, essential for high-bandwidth netowrk demands. It also is capable of splicing multi mode and single mode fibers. As with the AI-9 the AI-5 uses the same bluetooth technology connecting to your phone with an app on Android or iOS, where you can adjust all features and settings while also utilizing their in built tutorials when you run into an issue. The Ai-5 also includes automated arc calibration, fiber detection, and splice mode selection. These smart features help reduce human error and provide consistent results across different splicing environments.
The Ai-5 boasts a rapid splice time of approximately 6 seconds and a heat-shrink time as low as 15 seconds. This quick turnaround time reduces operational downtime and increases productivity for field engineers.
The machine’s high-capacity lithium battery provides up to 300 splices and heats per charge, making it reliable for long fieldwork sessions without frequent recharges.
By providing rapid, high-quality splicing with reduced power requirements and minimal maintenance, the Ai-5 Fusion Splice Machine enables network technicians & engineers to deliver efficient, reliable fiber optic networks.
