Description

The Dome Joint – 24 Core is a specialized fiber joint enclosure designed for telecommunications and networking applications. This joint enclosure serves as a protective housing for splice joints, ensuring protection againts all weather conditions including full submersion when placed under ground. This dome joint is very compact compared to other types of dome joints, allowing it to be installed in a location with limited space.

It comes in a heatshrink and a mechanical port version. The heatshrink version has 3 ports (17mm) and 1 loop port (17 x 48mm). The mechanical port version has 4 ports (20mm) and no loop ports.

The heatshrink port design provides maximum benifit for water and weatherproof resistance. There is a rubber ring seal used at the base of the enclosure and this ensures a very secure tight seal. As a result it has an IP68 rating.

The mechancial port design is easier to work with when doing maintenance or repairs, though it does not have the same level of water and weatherproof resistance.  As a result it only has an IP65 rating.

The mechanical port dome joint is pole mountable and comes with a pole mount bracket, while the heatshrink version does not.

 

FEATURES:

Ports: With three / four ports, the joint allows for multiple fiber optic cables to be connected, enabling the seamless integration of various network segments.

Heatshrink or Mechanical seal Technology: The use of heatshrink technology in the joint provides additional protection by sealing the spliced fibers against all environmental factors such as moisture, dust, and physical damage. This ensures the longevity and reliability of the optical connections. Mechanical seals allow for versitility and ease of use when repairing or maintaining your fiber network.

Premium Materials: The enclosure casing is made of quality UV protected plastics, and of good performance of anti-erosion against acid and alkali salt, anti-aging additives.  It can bear the axial tensile strength up to 1000N.
